The rustic farmhouse look has so much charm and warmth on its own, that Christmas feels already home, even without all the traditional hints in the decoration. We’ve honoured each room in the house, present to the fact that most of us tend to decorate the hallway and the living room, leaving out the rest of their place. And this just doesn’t seem right! The festive spirit should be all over the place.

Celebrate the traditional meal with some of our centerpieces – a lazy Susan, decorated with greenery and pinecones, bottle of wine and other rustic decorative elements.

Don’t forget the porch! It’s a glorious feeling to stand before a lush doorway Christmas decoration and wait to be let in. Don’t deprive your guest of that, go old school here. You could make an antique window display on your porch by decorating a small window piece with red and green traditional wreath, combine with some DIY paper elements and toys. Why not use an old ladder? The perfect item to decorate, because, let’s face it, the steps serve as ideal shelves. You can build your rustic decoration gradually and swap places of items until it clicks for you. Use pine branches, candles, lanterns, pinecones and add some colour splash using a red ribbon.

When we talk about Christmas wreaths, it’s worth mentioning you don’t have to adopt the all orthodox approach here, to achieve the rustic vibe, use one, made of grapevine and decorate it with rusty metal bell, some ribbon in neutral colour and some greenery.  All in all, the barn like feeling is absolutely achievable and entirely up to you. It’ll make your Christmas home a place you don’t want to leave!
